Dress Up Box
You can help your kids enjoy their own adventure even more by setting up a well-stocked dress-up box.

Stocking the Box
The best places to get clothes for a dress-up box are the closets of grown-ups. If you don't have much to cull from your own closet, put the word out to family and friends. Or visit thrift stores, yard sales, and discount stores. There is one item you'll want to include even though it doesn't fit in the box: a big mirror.
Monkey Party
A birthday party full of monkey business (FYI: this one may be making an appearance in September for Zackary's first birthday!)

Homemade finger paints are nontoxic, washable, and always available.
Stir 4 tablespoons of sugar and 1/2 cup cornstarch together; add 2 cups of cold water, and heat over medium heat until the mixture is thick (the mixture will further thicken as it cools). Divide into four or more containers, and add food coloring as desired.
Powered by candy fuel, little cars with cereal wheels wnd their way to the party past hand-drawn street signs and gumdrop trees (their trunks are toothpicks). Top roads with taffy strips.
