Hurray

.......and the end of three 14 hour shifts for Ty!
The kids haven't seen him since Tuesday. I can't wait to cuddle tonight, and tomorrow, and the next day....... I love the weekend!
(and I love my man)
(and I love my kids)

(and I love chocolate.....I should make brownies)

Breakfast Fun

I wanted to add a little fun to our mornings.
Yesterday we started the day by reading H.A. Rey's "Curious George Makes Pancakes". After reading the story I made pancakes for breakfast.

Today we are reading Laura Numeroff's "If You Give A Moose A Muffin", and then we are making muffins.
(The really yummy looking doughnut muffins from THIS earlier post)

This little activity seems to set a good stage for the day. It is something fun we can do together first thing.

Pinterest has my interest!

My sister in law sent me an invite to join pinterest last week. I had already been all over the sight and couldn't wait to get started. I am having so much fun creating my own boards and finding all sorts of great ideas!
Has anyone else discovered the joy of pinterest???

Froot Loops

We have had a BUSY day!
There was laundry to do, floors to clean, windows to wash, and most importantly......A talk to write!
Ty and I are speaking in church this Sunday and I have been putting off and really not looking forward to writing my talk. I finally buckled down and got to work. It took forever, but I finished and I am so relieved! The kids were so good while I was working so I had to reward them with a little entertainment.
I set out bowls of froot loops and necklace length strings and Max and Mia started stringing cereal.
I put on some fun music, so it was basically a party :)
Zackary woke up from his nap in the middle of the necklace making. He was really into Max's necklace so Max gave it to Zac.
 Such a good big brother!
After the necklaces were made the kids sat down to watch a movie and to eat several more bowls of froot loops. They all have a little sugar high now, but it was fun.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Whoopie Pies!

We could all use a little "whoopie" in our day!
I think these chocolate peanut butter whoopies from Multiply Delicious look totally awesome

Perfect for a Whoopie Wednesday
