Kindergarten Awards Ceremony

 Today was the kindergarten awards assembly at Max's school. I was so excited to see Max get his award.

 His award was for knowing all of the kindergarten sight words plus all of the challenge words. He is our little reader!

 He and 2 other girls from his class got awards.

 I couldn't help myself and I was crying my eyes out. I am such a smooshy mom.

All of the awards recipients got together for a picture after the assembly.

It has been a great year for Max. He has worked so hard. I am so proud of him for keeping up and excelling despite moving and changing schools 3 times! We are looking forward to summer and 1st grade!

A Due Date

I finally have a due date! It is actually the same date I came up with on my own before all of these doctor's visits but my doctor was not agreeing with me. After an ultrasound it has been determined that this baby is due on December 4th. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to me. I know what I'm getting this year!

Father's Day!

I am so excited that we get to be here in southern California for Father's Day this year! I am planning a big celebration. I found this 3 ingredient RECIPE for root beer pulled pork that is going to be a perfect addition to our party. I think I'll use "Dad's" root beer  :)

Frozen Hot Chocolate!

I love hot chocolate.

It is what gets me through the cold winter months.

I found this RECIPE for frozen hot chocolate on the Tasty Kitchen website. It sounds pretty awesome and it would be a great replacement for the hot stuff in the summertime. The recipe calls for evaporated milk but I am going to try it with almond milk or soy milk.

Cars in the kitchen

 Zackary decided his big box of cars needed to come downstairs.

 Max and Mia helped to make the cars into a long line.

Max said the line of cars were all waiting in line at the Starbucks drive thru for hot chocolate. He had a little yellow car that he put at the front of the line. It was supposed to be our car. Love the front of the line :)

I like my little people and all of their little cars!

Baby News

I had an ultrasound done yesterday. Just to see what was going on in there. It is so amazing to me that there is a whole little person in there. A person with arms and legs moving around! It got me all excited about this baby. It's my fourth baby, but when the technician showed me the little one on the screen I started to cry. 

I am very blessed.

Cheeseburger!

I love a good cheeseburger!

I love a big juicy tomato, onions, and plenty of mayo on top.

We are having a BBQ tomorrow night at my parents house before they leave for a Hawaiian getaway! I am bringing the beef.

Alphabet Rocks!

I am loving this idea from I am Momma-Hear Me Roar.

I think Mia will love playing with them and I really like the hands on approach to learning letters.

Sunday Update

Singing time went well today. We combined the junior and senior primary classes and I took the entire first hour. It was loud! 

The kids loved the fishing game. Next week I am going to try something a little more mellow, because I am exhausted! 

I guess singing can be exhausting for everyone. I was leading the kids in "Called to Serve", when I looked over at Mia and she was sound asleep on her chair! 

Zackary did well in nursery. I am so glad! I hate to hear that he was sad.

Max has a great friend named Ian in his class. They always sit together. They both have bright blue eyes and they are just too cute. I hope their friendship continues.

Ty is teaching the deacon's quorum now. He loves working with the young men. He is looking forward to taking Max on all of the campouts with him.

This afternoon we are enjoying the sunshine and making some homeade pizza for dinner.
