The Free Movies!

After spending the day yesterday unpacking and doing laundry we were ready to get back to some summer fun today.
Due to preschool and travel we have not been able to see any of the free movies offered this year, until today!
We watched Kung Fu Panda (a good portion of it anyway!) and then headed to the fountains!

It was slightly overcast and not too humid so I really enjoyed sitting outside with the kids.
Max and Mia ran and ran through the water. They were soaked and having a blast!

I had granola bars and juice, so they had to keep running over to me.

Zac sat with me in his little hat. I slathered his exposed skin in SPF 50 and fed him cheerios. He was very happy.

I love this little boy!
We are excited to go back next week and watch "The Tale of Desperaux"!

The Newman Ranch

We were so glad to spend some time with Ty's parents while we were in Utah. They have lots of horses and the kids love to ride!

It was so fun to spend some time with him. I hadn't seen him in over a year! He is one handsome man! (and so is the little baby he is holding!)

The Wedding

My dear friend, Catherine, married Ryan Hayes on July 2nd in the Salt Lake Temple. I was thrilled to be a part of it!

I love the Salt Lake Temple. Ty and I were married there almost 7 years ago.

Getting ready

When you are a bridesmaid you do things like; make sure the bride's gown doesn't touch the ground.

It was a perfect day for a wedding in Salt Lake. (except for the crazy wind that took Catherine's veil high into the sky!)

Provo!

We took the kids to Provo to spend the day.
We spent the morning wandering through the downtown farmer's market. Zac was a happy stroller passenger as we bought fun things and tasted yummy food.

Mia asked the balloon animal man to make her a ladybug and he did!

It was beautiful and very sunny so we got Max and Mia some way cool shades to keep the sun out of their eyes.
After the market we picked up my brother, Jamison, and headed to the BYU!
I love visiting the BYU campus. It brings back so many happy memories for me. I really hope my kids get the chance to go there one day.

My dad bought us all BYU caps. We were very spirited for the rest of the trip. We finished our Provo day with lunch and ice cream at the Creamery on Ninth. Go Cougars!

Road Trip!

We drove from Utah to California on July 4th. Max and Mia were wearing their flag tees. They looked very cute and patriotic. I wanted to take some pictures to document our journey, but Max kept sticking his face in the shot and making weird expressions. So now all you get are these two pictures of Max being weird. And then we were in California.

Rubios!

Whenever we visit my parents and SoCal we always make a stop at our favorite restaurant, Rubios!
We sit outside and drink cold drinks and eat fish tacos. The best fish tacos ever. We eat the fish tacos and we are very happy. The tacos are not very photogenic but Mia is!

Trouble in Paradise

I was busy washing dishes at my parents house when I realized how peaceful the house was. No one was bugging me. That's when I knew something was wrong and that's when I found Zackary!

He had dumped out an entire box of fruity cheerios. He was sitting in the middle of the pile eating happily.

At least they're vitamin fortified.

Oak Glen

My mom and I took the kids to Oak Glen. Oak Glen is a mountain town nearby my hometown. It is known for it's apple orchards. On this day we visited the petting zoo. We took pictures and played.

We went to the candy store and bought caramel. Max picked out a push-pop. Seriously gross!

After our hike through the zoo and Oak Tree Village we had lunch at Law's Cafe. They are known for their apple pie, but for some reason we didn't have any. We did order sandwiches. I guess we are just weird.

Good advice

There is a bakery in Redlands called "Doughlectibles". It is completely adorable and very successful.
Inside hung this sign. We read it and obeyed.

The Lincoln Shrine

Just behind the Smiley Library in Redlands is the Lincoln Shrine. It is a beautiful building and a wonderful place to take a few pictures.

We took some while we waited for the library to open.
